FAQ

What does my child need to bring to camp?

A water bottle and/or lunch.

We provide campers with a free snack every day.  Lunch is available for purchase, or you can pack a lunch for your child.  You can also do a combination of packing some days and buying lunch other days.  It is up to you.  You child does not need to bring money to camp each day.  You can put money in our camp bank at the beginning of the week.  Please see “How does the Camp Bank work” below.

How does the Camp Bank work?

Apart from the free snack, Give and Go also has a snack bar where your child may purchase additional snacks, lunch and drinks throughout the day.  These items cost $1.25 or less.  We provide a Camp Bank as a safe place for you to “deposit” money for your child to use during the week so that your child does not need to carry money with him or her each day.  When your child comes to the snack bar, they simply use their name to make a purchase.  At the end of the week, you may visit the bank to collect any money your child did not spend.

Most families deposit between $4 – $10.00 in the camp bank for the week.  You may place limitations on your child’s spending as well and we will make note of it on his or her bank sheet.

What is your refund policy?

Give and Go camps will offer a 50% refund up to the week before camp starts.  If you decide to cancel the week before camp begins or the week of camp, we will not be able to refund your money.  If your child becomes sick or injured the week before camp or the week of camp, we will need a doctor’s note before a 50% refund is given.

The reason for this refund policy is because we open registration very early and fill up in 2 – 3 weeks time.  As a result, we develop a very long waiting list.  By the time camp rolls around, 99% of our waiting list have moved on to another camp and therefore, we are unable to fill your child’s spot.
